I live in Colorado, near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, with my middle son, David, who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). LGS is a rare epilepsy disorder resulting in uncontrolled seizures, neurological impairment and typically leads to life-long disability.
The challenges of living with and caring for David pushed me onto a path of existential inquiry and spiritual seeking. I have devotedly followed this path for nearly two decades, soaking up the teachings of saints and sages, and have come to know their truth.
David’s influence on my life and awakening has been profound. The lessons of patience, acceptance, compassion, and levity are some of the greatest gifts I have received from being on this journey with him. I am honored to share these and other treasures with you in the pages of this site.
